Bahru Noor Foundation is a charity organization, non-governmental, non-political and non-profit organizations working in South and Central Somalia. The organization was formed to realise the potential of the Somali community in order to change their own lives through a sustainable, integrated community-centred development strategy. Bahru Noor Foundation was established in February 2017. The organization’s main head quarter is based in Mogadishu with branches in Dhusamreb, the capital city of Galmudug State to support emergency intervention programs, livelihood, education, youth and women empowerment and human rights protection. The organization is governed by boards of directors composed of professionals through appointment of an executive Director who have been empowered to run the operations of the organization. The activities of the organization are carried out by recruited officers with the requisite knowledge, experience and skills to lead operations in their respective field of work. Health department It seeks to uplift the health status of Somali people through services provision advocacy and awareness. M.B.N responds to natural disasters to vulnerable people affected by the disaster to meet their special health needs and is voluntary in nature.
